About

Our Priorities

  • Supporting communities under attack by right-wing agenda - We treat an attack on one like an attack on all. We will show up for each other, and particularly for those facing the brunt of right wing ideologues’ attacks.
  • Building strong coalitions with local community groups
  • Electing progressive fighters - We support progressive leaders that are grassroots funded, fighting for progressive policies, pledge not to take corporate, real-estate, fossil fuel, or police union donations and support inclusion and equity.

Projects

  • Sharing upcoming local events and calls to action via on our monthly newsletter
  • Engaging with current legislature and supporting progressive bills
  • Researching local issues of community interest and sharing blog posts
  • Sharing information on social media (Instagram and Facebook)

Meetings and Newsletter

Attending meetings is one of the best ways to participate in the group. We welcome all new members and appreciate any engagement members have capacity to share. We are also planning to continue hosting in-person gatherings in 2026. These are a great opportunity to get together, build relationships, share food, resources and solidarity.

We regularly attend events organized by other Indivisible groups, coalition partners and local community groups. These are shared in the Newsletter. Sign Up to get on the mailing list.

Join the group

Our group is interested in meeting organizers with interest and capacity to participate at a deeper level. As part of the leadership team you will have more access to Indivisible leadership training and will represent the group at Indivisible leadership meetings. This is also a great way to meet and organize with other Indivisible members across the state & country. You can learn more about Indivisible at the link below.

History

Indivisible Alta-Pasadena was started in 2017 by community members in Altadena and Pasadena. The founding members were inspired by the Indivisible Guide to start organizing locally to pressure elected representatives to resist Trump’s agenda and focus on local City, County and State level issues.
