Welcome to the new Indivisible Alta-Pasadena newsletter
Introducing the new website & newsletter, recapping 2025 and calls for organizers.
We are excited to share with you all that we have a new publishing platform for our Newsletter at indivisible-alta-pasadena.org. We hope that with this new platform we will be able to:
- More regularly share newsletters starting with a monthly schedule
- More quickly share rapid response calls to action as they happen
- Introduce new longer-form blog posts on local topics such as City Council meetings
In the process of improving our emails and newsletter communications we have also launched a new website (indivisible.alta.pasadena.org) which includes information about:
- How to get involved! We will need all hands on deck in 2026 as we all continue to resist the Trump administration and support our communities
- Upcoming Events and meetings
- Calls to Action and information on contacting Alta-Pasadena Representatives
Re-establishing the Indivisible group for Alta-Pasadena in 2025
It goes without saying that 2025 was a terrible year for many in our community. Most of Indivisible Alta-Pasadena group organizers were directly impacted by the Eaton fires as well as many active members.
Although the group has been downsized, we are still active with a new leadership team that came together over the last year. With our smaller team we have mostly been working towards (re)building group resources and sharing all of the great actions by other community groups that happened in 2025. Below is a summary of some highlights from last year:
- We hosted three in-person gatherings in Pasadena and Altadena in Summer & Fall. These meet-ups provided much-needed opportunities to get together and build relationships that we can carry into 2026. Thank you especially to our two members that shared their homes and backyards and to all the members that attended and brought great food to the potlucks. It was great to meet in-person again.
- We restarted the Newsletter in April 2025 to share meetings, community events and other calls to action. We also shared information on Indivisible campaigns like One Million Rising
- Developed and shared resistance poster art & organized two local events for poster art distribution. Reach out if you want to join this project as we are not sharing these events publicly
- Along with many of you we attended protests and events organized by local groups especially San Gabriel Foothills Indivisible Hands Off & No Kings protests
- We have been joining actions led by NDLON especially adopt-a-corner and ICE Out of Home Depot actions
- Attending city council meetings and giving public comment for more funding for homelessness services. Look for upcoming blog posts on these topics
- We also attended lots of Indivisible trainings and meetings last year. Check out the Indivisible CA calendar to view upcoming Indivisible CA meetings
- We have been building out our group resources and now have Mobilize and ActBlue accounts as well as a new Instagram account and Signal group chat
Recruiting community organizers in 2026
As we head into a very busy 2026, we would like to invite community members to connect with us and become an organizer with Indivisible Alta-Pasadena. We will be sharing the date for our next meeting in an upcoming Newsletter but in the meantime, feel free to connect via email.
