Disappeared In America – Dia de los Muertos Celebration & Vigil
JOIN us as we heighten our weekly Home Depot protest/boycott into a Dia de los Muertos community event with face painting, music by local NDLON’s @losjornalerosdelnorte , street vendors, and an Ofrenda/Altar honoring those whose lives have been cut short due to the kidnappings. We will finish the day with a candlelight vigil from 6-7pm.
We will be Fundraising for the day laborers at this location!
We will be gathering for activities at Confluence Plaza, by the roundabout behind the back of Home Depot’s parking lot. We are partnering with other local groups to activate this historical center of Los Angeles and the early location of Tongvan and Gabrielino villages. Also a fantastic public artwork ‘Faces of Elysian Valley’ by local attist Freyja Bardall.
Come for a celebration of life, stating clearly that we will not stand by as families are disappeared, rights are dismantled, and democracy itself is eroded.
The Disappeared in America Weekend of Action is a nationwide mobilization hosted by Public Citizen, National Day Laborers Organizing Network (NDLON), The Workers Circle and Detention Watch Network, to defend our shared values of dignity, freedom, and justice for all. Together, we’ll shine a light on the human toll of detention and demand an end to corporate and government complicity in this cruelty.

About the Organizations
NDLON (National Day Laborer Organizing Network) empowers immigrant workers through grassroots organizing, legal advocacy, and mutual aid. Their work defends day laborers from ICE raids and uplifts the dignity of those who power our communities.

My Tribe Rise led a powerful local response after the Eaton Fires—distributing supplies, organizing aid hubs, and advocating for equitable recovery. Their work continues to protect Altadena from displacement and support families rebuilding.
ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS ARE WELCOME AT NO COST.
Suggested donation of $25.00 will go directly to My Tribe Rise and NDLON to support mutual aid for Pasadena and Altadena residents impacted by fire and immigration raids.
All funds raised will go directly to community aid. #AltadenaVigil #DíaDeResistencia
