History
Indivisible Alta-Pasadena was started in 2017 by community members in Altadena and Pasadena. The founding members were inspired by the Indivisible Guide to start organizing locally to pressure elected representatives to resist Trump’s agenda and focus on local City, County and State level issues.

While the Eaton fire has impacted the group membership, we have been continuing the work and in 2026 launched a new website, newsletter and blog site for in-depth research & writing on progressive issues.
Our priorities
- Supporting communities under attack by right-wing agenda - We treat an attack on one like an attack on all. We will show up for each other, and particularly for those facing the brunt of right wing ideologues’ attacks.
- Building strong coalitions with local community groups
- Electing progressive fighters - We support progressive leaders that are grassroots funded, fighting for progressive policies, pledge not to take corporate, real-estate, fossil fuel, or police union donations and support inclusion and equity.

Strategy
- Sharing calls to action on multiple platforms (newsletter, website, social media etc)
- Organizing meetings and sharing coalition partner events
- Research and writing long-form blog posts
